SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE THE MOMENT EVEN MORE SPECIAL

The first time at CHRISTMAS PARTIES WITH THE BABY is a moment that will never be forgotten by the family. How about if you make it even better?

Family moments become even more special with the arrival of the babies. At Christmas, it’s as if each detail gains more shine with the presence of the new member – and the shine has nothing to do with the gifts, but with the emotion of creating the first memories with the little one.

CHRISTMAS: a sensory experience

Despite not understanding the reason for the celebrations, babies get involved with the details. As they are born with only the smell and a little vision, until the 6th month the big task is to develop the senses: the two mentioned, plus touch and hearing. At the Christmas party, it is possible to find some stimuli for such development, especially in decoration.

Vision:

up to 6 months of age, babies can only see objects that are up to about 30 cm away, so it is recommended to bring them closer to the lights, ornaments and gifts, so that they can contemplate different shapes and colors.

Touch:

holding, bring ornaments closer to your little one, such as Christmas balls or even gift wraps, so that he too can experience the sensation of touch in different textures and materials. Attention: this must be done with supervision, avoiding leaving children alone playing with small ornaments that can be dangerous if taken to the mouth.

Hearing:

Put on or sing Christmas carols to your child and read booklets to stimulate their hearing. But beware: as babies’ hearing is already developing from the 1st month of life onwards, it is necessary to preserve it from too noisy moments during the party. Find a quiet and more reserved environment, especially for fireworks and fireworks or when the party gets busy.

Don’t forget to share the joy of the baby’s Christmas party with everyone!

It is recommended to take advantage of calmer moments, such as the beginning of parties, to carry out the activities mentioned above, thus avoiding overexposure of the baby when the environment becomes more agitated. Your baby does not need (and should not) accompany the entire celebration, pay attention to his signs of tiredness and try to keep his routine as normal as possible.

TRADITIONS: moments of being with the family

Customs are passed from generation to generation. In addition to keeping those that followed in childhood, adults can create their own Christmas traditions, which will then be passed on to their children. We’ve put together some suggestions for activities that can make the Christmas atmosphere even more special:

– Write a letter to your child. Even if it takes a long time for him to be able to read your content, it will be of great value to you and especially to him a few years from now

– Photograph your baby’s moments at the party. Give preference to natural light and avoid flashes. Put your baby at ease, capturing spontaneous moments and the many faces and mouths they tend to make. The photos can even become a postcard

– If the children are a little older, prepare typical Christmas recipes, such as cookies and cookies in the shape of dolls. They can even be offered to Santa Claus. And, depending on their age, the little ones can help with the pastry.

– If the neighborhood is decorated, invite the children for a walk to check out the lights and decorations.

– Decorate the house. Some mothers do this at night to surprise children in the morning. As children grow, they can participate in assembling the tree, decorating, and even contributing to creating custom designs and ornaments.
